Please take a moment to look through our FAQs. We would like to draw your attention to the skin testing protocol especially as we won’t be able to colour your hair without a skin test. There’s also a section about our booking system that we think will be useful to you.

Skin Testing For Colour Services

If you’re new to hair colour or you have had a break of over 6 months since your last session, you will need to take a colour test at your chosen salon at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment.

It only takes a couple of minutes to start the test so pop in and get yours done in good time.

We won’t be able to use colour on your hair if you haven’t had the test – it’s an essential part of your journey with colour.

If you’re not sure about timings or want to learn more about the test, call your local salon for more information.

If you wish to book any tinting services at the Forresters Beauty salon in Hall’s Road, Tilehurst, you will need to have a skin patch test.

Online Booking

The Forresters online booking system is very popular with our clients. It makes booking a cut and finish appointment at your favourite salon a breeze so if you haven’t tried it yet, give it a go!

When you click on the Book Online tab you will see all of the group salons listed. Choose your preferred salon, and if you’re a first timer, REGISTER your name and details so you can just LOGIN next time. Once you’re registered with us and you have opted in to receive communications from us, you will be able to receive emails about our exclusive offers and promotions.

If you have a specific stylist in mind and the system won’t allow you to select that individual on your chosen date, it could be that they are on holiday so please always check with the salon.

Everyone in the Forresters salon teams are trained to the highest exacting standards, so please be assured that if your favourite stylist isn’t available that there will always be another stylist who can cut, colour and style your hair just the way you like it.

At the moment it isn’t possible to book for colour services online, however we plan to change that in the future for maintenance colour services. Please call your local salon to book a colour appointment.

Free Consultations

Fancy a new look or just a professional opinion about a style that you’ve seen and liked? It feels like a big step, but it should be fun!

At Forresters, we believe in listening and that’s why we offer potential clients a free consultation to allow us to work out the best style for you, with you.

All of Forresters’ salon teams are here to give you great service and want you to leave the salon feeling like they have gone the extra mile. And not only that, you should feel relaxed, happy and yes, excited about having your hair cut or coloured.

You will only feel that way when you know what to expect; when you have a clear vision of the final result and we’re here to help you achieve that.

So, call in or contact your local salon to make an appointment for a free consultation. We normally set aside 15 minutes to have a good chat about your hair.

Don’t forget to upload some photos to your ‘phone so we can see what you’ve got in mind.

Changing Your Appointment

When you make an appointment at any of our salons we allocate time slots for your stylist and the team to provide you with the service you have booked for.

If at the last minute you decide that you want to have something a bit more radical done. i.e a total colour change or a complete re-style when you’ve only booked for highlights and a trim, we would ask you to book a separate appointment so we can spend more time with you.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes clients need to cancel or change their appointments due to all sorts of circumstances. If at all possible, please can you give us at least 48 hours notice that you can’t make it.

Our policy is that appointments cancelled within the 48 hour period may result in a 50% charge of the full fee.

Client Deposits

When you make an appointment at any of our salons we work out how much time we will be spending with you during your visit and the total fee for the hair or beauty services you have booked. If you’re new to Forresters we may ask you to pay a 20% deposit at the time of booking so please have your debit or credit card ready when you call us.

Free Wifi

Forresters have installed a Free WiFi service for clients in all of their salons.

  • Keep in the FaceBook and Twitter loop whilst you’re in salon.
  • Catch up with work emails or
  • Relax and surf the net…

…the choice is entirely yours.

All of our staff know the password and will help you to set it up on your device. Once you’ve signed into the salon system initially, the WiFi will link to you automatically on future visits.
