The resulting photographs show what Forresters can achieve with four people, literally, off the streets of Reading. They illustrate the complete change that results from expert styling, colouring and cutting. John Forrester said: "You might think that this kind of transformation is only possible on fashion models. But Zell, Ryan, Anna and Carissa are all typical of the people who come into our salons every day" "What we hope these pictures get across is that every client at Forresters will get the same kind of attention that these four did. And if you want to completely transform or enhance your look, we can do it" "At every Forresters salon we have the expertise to achieve stunning results - dare I say it - even from very ordinary beginnings" Gemma Forrester, Styling Director of Forresters Design Team, said that the main reason why they achieved such a total transformation with the Face of 2002 winners was because "they were all up for it". Gemma added: "They were all great to work with and were happy to have their hair coloured and styled. "They were amazing really. I often work with professional models and, although none of them had done anything like this before, they all behaved like they were made for it. "The pictures are proof that all four have a special quality that could take them far in a modelling career." |

Overall winner Zell Wakwell, aged 24, of Central Reading, had some long layers added to her brown shoulder-length hair and high lights gave it a tangerine tint to achieve a dramatic result. Ryan Patey, aged 22, of Caversham, had his choppy, dark hair bleached at the ends for a David Beckham effect. Anna Lloyd, aged 18, of Woodley, had her hair cut into a modern bob and a mixed set of copper and blonde high lights allow Anna to sport a dual look - when she parts her hair to the right - she achieves a redhead look with blonde lights through it. When her hair is parted to the left she has a blonder style with copper lights - amazing. The youngest of the four, 15-year-old schoolgirl Carissa Wilkie had more blonde added to her abundantly curly hair. While the looks achieved by Forresters are stunning and dramatic, all four loved the transformation
Zell Wakwell said: "When they were adding colour to my hair, I must admit, I did feel a little apprehensive. But I really couldn't believe it when I saw it. With the make-up and the clothes, it really didn't look like me. But it looked much better." Ryan Patey said: "Blokes can be very timid about colour. But to be honest, I've dabbled in quite a few colours but nothing like this. "My mum almost died when I walked through the door and all my mates couldn't believe it. What's more, a few of them are now getting their hair coloured too." Anna Lloyd said: "Once the make-up was on and the clothes, I think none of us could believe it. "It sounds far fetched but I felt that Forresters had really made me look the part. If I hadn't of had someone say 'right, we're thinking of cutting it this way, or colouring it that way', I would never have had the nerve or imagination to ask for it myself." Carissa Wilkie said: "It has made me consider modelling as a career. Before Forresters got their hands on my uncontrollable mane it was pretty hard for me to tame. Whatever they've done to it, it's now easier to manage and the colour just looks great. I love it!" You too can achieve this type of transformation. All it takes is a call to any Forresters salon.
